Last week, our chief safety representatives met at the Stavanger office. The purpose was professional development, dialogue and networking across the companies.
There were presentations about the role of the safety representative and the employee survey that will be held in the autumn, as well as systematic mapping/risk assessment according to the Working Environment Act. This year we have an extra focus on ergonomics for our employees, to prevent strain injuries and sick leave and ensure good working conditions. There were good conversations related to to the importance of a psychosocial working environment, which is fundamental to creating well-being, security and better cooperation. Here, the safety representatives showed great commitment and made many good and useful suggestions, which we will continue to work on.
Finally, time was set aside for a tour of the warehouse and a NOG quiz. It was clear that our chief safety officers have a strong competitive instinct, and Karol from NOG Electro ultimately came out on top. He was rewarded with a free car wash at a Swan-labeled car wash of his choice (perfectly in line with our environmental tip for February).
The intention of the gathering was to strengthen cooperation, and together take action to improve and make the workplace safer for all our employees.
