Rigging and crosshauling
Rigging and crosshauling
About this service:
An effective method for installation work under platforms, where there is no crane coverage, is cross-hauling. AAK Energy has carried out many cross-hauling assignments using hoists. Typical cross-hauling projects include the installation of clamps on conductors, as well as the installation of structures and equipment.
From areas of the platform with crane coverage, what is to be installed is cross-hauled to the correct location using (air) hoists.
Using access technology provides short mobilization and demobilization times at the work site, ensures good utilization of weather windows and reduces the risk of equipment or scaffolding being left hanging in unwanted areas when the weather changes.

Cross-hauling is a method of moving equipment and structures to the correct position under a platform using (overhead) hoists. This is used where there is no crane coverage, and is an effective solution for installation work in hard-to-reach areas. -
How does cross-hauling work in practice?
Equipment to be installed is lifted from areas of crane coverage and cross-haul to the desired position using a system of hoists and attachment points, allowing complex installations to be carried out without the need for large cranes or extensive scaffolding. -
